  It's a decent place, but the grading system is very bad. Recently, almost everything has turned into a pass/fail system. This removes the feeling of knowing that you completely perfected something, or if you barely passed. Many of the teachers could also use some work. For example, Mrs. Ahlquist and Miss Stewart seem to completely hate children in general. Some teachers also talk for most (or all) of the class period, which lowers the overall quality of work. Teachers obviously play favourites and least favourites, as my 7th grade teacher had a rewards system. If you did something good, you got a sticker. One girl ended the year with 16 stickers, and almost everyone else was around 2-5. The same teacher pulled my friend aside at the beginning of the year, and flat out told them that they were a bad student. They ended up crying, and by the end of the year, the teacher claimed that they were always her favourite (even though the teacher made her cry). Every student is expected to be exactly the same, personality wise and grade wise. It's a horrendous system at times, but I guess the academics are okay.

  I both love and dislike the school. They changed the grading system which now makes us look smarter than we really are and most people would agree with me if they would like to see what grade they actually got instead of receiving a 1, 2, 3 or a 4. Some of the teachers and substitutes here can be really mean or very strict and some of them are both. Some teachers are extremely nice but you never hear about them being nice and you only hear about the bad things that the bad teachers did to a kid. The part I love about this school is that I made all of my friends here and some of the teachers here made learning fun for me. But there are lots of judgmental mean kids here that make school horrible for some kids and even some teachers.

  I only have great things to say about Michelle Raber and State Farm. I know that she has my best interest in mind when she recommends her insurance products to me. I trust her judgment and frequently ask her advice and tell her that I will do whatever she thinks is best for me. I don't have to research it or ask others, I trust her opinion.   Michelle really looks after her clients well! Since my wife and I moved to Maine several years ago, so many changes have happened in our lives from getting married to buying a new car, buying a home and starting a family. With all these developments come so many financial necessities that need navigating, and Michelle was right there with us. When we negotiated a great deal for a new car, she had a check ready for us the same day for our car loan, and our insurance was transferred from the old car without a hiccup. When we bought a house, she helped us work with State Farm's mortgage division and the check from them was seamlessly waiting for us on the closing day. Michelle met with us to discuss our Life Insurance options when we became parents, giving us the peace of mind that our son will always be taken care of, no matter what life throws our way. More recently, we were invited to her office to discuss our retirement plans, and thank goodness we did! Right in time for filing tax returns we were able to take full advantage of our retirement contributions. She has this great calculator that shows you exactly what you need for your retirement. It's definitely worth a visit to her office. Michelle's got a great way of dealing with people.
